WEYA — whoever you areweya.

Cerebral Palsy

We support adults with CP whose families have already been let down before.

Adult CP support is too often delivered by workers who treat lifelong communication and physical patterns as new every shift. WEYA workers are profiled to your loved one before they ever knock.

What WEYA actually does

The clinical specifics, not the brochure.

1

Lifelong-condition fluency

Workers oriented to the participant's lifetime patterns: communication style, transfer preferences, equipment, the people who matter in their day.

2

GMFCS-aware support

Comfortable across the GMFCS spectrum. Hoist competency for level IV and V participants confirmed pre-shift.

3

Family carer relief

We support the participant and respect the family system around them. Aging parents who have been the default carer for decades deserve actual respite, not extra logistics.

4

Community, not custody

Community access that is directed by the participant: pool, gym, outings, the rhythm they choose.

Who this page is for

If any of this sounds like your situation, the next step is a meet & greet.

  • Adults with cerebral palsy across the GMFCS spectrum
  • Families with an aging primary carer who needs reliable respite
  • Participants transitioning from paediatric to adult NDIS supports
  • Support Coordinators with a complex CP participant whose previous placement broke down

The fears we hear most

Named honestly. Answered clinically.

The worker tries to teach my child what I have known for thirty years.

Our response

Pre-shift profiling. We build the plan with the family and the participant before any worker arrives.

The transfer goes wrong because the worker has not used this hoist.

Our response

Equipment-specific competency confirmed in person before first shift.

The provider treats the participant as a task.

Our response

WEYA workers are recruited for adult communication and respect. The participant directs the day.

The clinical detail

What every CP placement gets, by default.

  • GMFCS-level-aware transfer plans, hoist sign-off mandatory for level IV and V
  • Communication profile built with the family at intake
  • PEG and complex feeding training delivered by Megan in person
  • Long-tenure team strategy, retention measured as a clinical metric

Every referral is acknowledged within 12 hours. Josh reviews capacity and clinical fit, then we either book a discovery call or tell you honestly that WEYA is not the right match for this participant. Progress notes are written so they hold up at plan review.
